LAHORE– Electricity bills for the general public will increase as fixed charges have been added starting from july 1,2024 according to local media.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority Nepra has approved these fixed charges to boost the revenue of electricity dissemination companies.
Reports show that consumers utilizing up to 200 units per month will not be charged. Those using 301 – 400 units will pay Rs 200 in fixed costs.
For those utilizing 401- 500 units every month, the fixed charge will be Rs 400, and for those using 501 – 600 units, it will be Rs 600.
Consumers using 601- 700 units per month will pay Rs 800, while those using more than 700 units will pay Rs 1000 in fixed charges.
These fixed charges will appear in the electricity bills for the month of July.
